TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By confirming a reservation at Lavender and Bee Shepherds Hut you are accepting that you have read and fully accept the terms and conditions detailed in this document. The person whose name appears on the Booking Form agrees he/she is authorised to agree Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons in the party. The person making the booking is over 18 years of age.
The number of people occupying the Property is limited to two adults unless agreed in advance by the Owner.
The client may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the property, even free of charge.
We (the owner) reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
Bookings
A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the non-refundable deposit and agreement to our terms and conditions. No booking contract is entered into until a deposit has been received and we have sent a written confirmation declaring your reservation. Please note we do not hold dates provisionally.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the holiday price is payable at the time of booking with the balance payable no later than four weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If a booking is made less than four weeks before the start of your holiday full rental payment must be made at the time of booking.
If the balance is not received by the due date (28 days before the start of your holiday) then your holiday will be treated as a cancellation and you will remain liable to pay the balance of the rental.
It is your responsibility to check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.
Payment
Payments can be made by bank transfer.
Cancellation by You
We understand that emergencies happen, if you need to cancel your holiday please notify us immediately in writing and we will do our best to re-let your accommodation or if possible offer alternative dates. If we can re-let the Shepherds Hut we will refund your balance payment (deposit remains non-refundable). If the Hut cannot be re-let then no refund will be given.
To safeguard against cancellation charges & other unforeseen eventualities we strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Cancellation by Us
Your booking will not be cancelled by Lavender and Bee Shepherds Hut except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday.
We also reserve the right to cancel a stay should the booking have been made due to an administration error on the booking system- this may be incorrect length of stay subject to our policies, incorrect price or any other error. A full refund will be given and the booking cancelled if this is the case.
Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
Arrival/Departure Times
Check in is from 3pm unless otherwise agreed and check out by 11am on the day of departure. This allows us to thoroughly clean and prepare the Shepherds Hut for our next guests. Please respect the Hut during your stay and leave it clean and tidy.
Hut Rules
No pets allowed.
No smoking inside the property.
No firearms, hunting equipment, fireworks or Chinese lanterns.
No cooking inside the hut, only in the outdoor kitchen.
This must be strictly adhered to. We reserve the right to charge for any damage or extra cleaning caused by smoking or cooking.
You agree to use the Hut solely for its intended purpose as self-catering accommodation and to accept the Owners right to refuse to hand over the Hut to any person deemed unsuitable to take charge. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbours or unreasonable behaviour may result in the Owner requesting you to leave.
You agree to allow the Owners or agents access to the Hut at all reasonable times. We will only ever request access to your Hut in case of an emergency, e.g. a water leak.
Damage to property
In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. Please let us know of any damage or breakages so we can repair or replace them for the next guests. We reserve the right to charge for any additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition.
Guests safety and property
You accept that the responsibility for personal property of guests occupying the accommodation is solely theirs. All vehicles are also left at the guests’ risk. Guests agree to absolve the Owner of any responsibility for any accident or mishap to persons or property whilst on the premises or whilst engaged in any activity therein, or from any illness or injury arising from any causes whatsoever.
Keys
Please note that in the event that keys are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.
Use of Equipment
On arrival you will be given a safety briefing regarding the wood burning stoves, gas stoves and wood fired hot tubs. We ask that you listen carefully and agree to operate these appliances according to instruction.
Hot Tub Safety Guidelines
As the person making the booking you are accepting this disclaimer on behalf of your party and will ensure that you and they understand and agree to the guidelines set out below when using the hot tub.

When heating the hot tub, do not touch or get too close to the stove and flue, which can become very hot.

The hot tub will be kept covered at all times when not in use.

Pregnant women and anyone with health conditions requiring medical care should consult a doctor before using the hot tub.

People with skin, ear, genital or other body infections, open sores, or wounds should not use the hot tub.

The hot tub should not be used under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs and/or medication.

Extra caution is needed when using the hot tub as the water is heated naturally and the temperature is unregulated. Use the thermometer provided, recommended bathing water temperature is 37.5 degrees. If needed add cold water to lower the water temperature. Always check the bathing water temperature with your hand before entering.

Shower with soap and water before and after using the hot tub. Showering before use washes away many of the common skin bacteria and removes lotions, deodorants, creams etc which affect the water quality

Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water.

Never use the hot tub alone.

Avoid using the hot tub immediately after a heavy meal.

Take care when entering and leaving the hot tub.

Avoid entering the hot tub water immediately after exercising as the water temperature can affect the heart rate.

No glass near/in the hot tub.

Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub.

If any fault or damage occurs with the hot tub please let us know at the earliest convenient moment. The Owners reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of £30 for any water that needs replacing during your stay due to non-showering, drink, food and other debris.
Complaints
We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.
Any problem or complaint which the client may have concerning their holiday must be immediately reported directly to us and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us at the time and only reported after the client has returned from holiday will not be considered by the proprietor.
We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
Governing law and jurisdiction
English law will govern any dispute, claim or other matter that may arise in relation to your booking and you agree that any dispute will be dealt with exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
